THE SUZUKI V-STROM range expands again as Suzuki launch yet another 650cc motorcycle.

The new V-Strom 650 XPEDITION or V-Strom 650XP is based on the V-Strom 650 ABS model, the new tougher XP version, boasts a host of additions, providing a comprehensive list of practical accessories.

Featuring hard-wearing black aluminium panniers with a total carrying capacity of 82 litres, the XP is the tough and effective alternative, thanks to the provision of engine and hand guards, centre-stand and an aluminium sump guard as part of its unique specification.

Suzuki GB sales and marketing director, David Taylor, commented, "The V-Strom 650 is still a hugely popular model for us, so we are delighted to be able to offer a new flagship model with tough and practical additions. On top of this, with a recommended retail price of just £7,300, the XP represents exceptional value."

Available in Candy Max Orange and Metallic Oort Grey colour schemes, the V-Strom 650XP will be available in dealers at the end fo the month.

I love this bike but I really think its needs a bit of a makeover.

It also needs a bigger engine!

Wot no DL-1000 in the range

DL1000 not meets euro3. Tough it is still on sale in US.

Bigger engine: yeah, V2 800cc and slightly reduced weight.

650 is plenty fast enough for us commuter types who don't want to have to sell kidneys to pay for the petrol. Sure do an 800 Suzuki, just don't kill off the little brother.

Besides, with a standard screen anything above 80mph on a strom is deafening.

they really do need to drop the front wheel down to a 17 though and stop pretending people offroad with these things.

I notice that they start with the ABS model. Do they include an "ABS OFF" switch for off-road use?

Eric, I've got an ABS and there's no off switch. But then again no-one would seriously use one of these 200kg+ bikes off road .. I'd rather use a CG125 offroad, honest! People shouldn't kid themselves that this is anything other than a very good commuter/tourer/road bike. Don't get me wrong I think the Adventure bike fad is great, lot of choice for taller than average riders.

Hi

I have one of these and they arew GREAT. Cant fault it. Got power when I need. Cruises fine and love the extra space when you need it. Petrol consumption not too bad either even when having a bit of fun on a windey country road.
