SUZUKI'S new Inazuma is set to arrive in dealers in the second half of September carrying a £3499 on-the-road price tag.

Coming in £500 cheaper than Honda's CBR250R and £1100 below Kawasaki's Ninja 250R the Inazuma looks fairly tempting. It's not a sports bike, with Suzuki pitching it as a commuter, and the cheapness doesn't end at the purchase price, since the firm reckons it's good for more than 85mpg.

Each one will come with a 2-year warranty and one year's roadside assistance included in the price.

Suzuki GB's Paul de Lusignan said: "Since we announced the Inazuma 250 we have been very pleased to see the level of interest it has generated both at Motorcycle Live and in our dealer’s showrooms. With this newly announced price, 250cc power and superb fuel economy it’s a very real alternative for the commuter. Combine this with Suzuki's renowned reliability and our superb dealer network and its fair to say that the Inazuma offers excellent value and peace of mind motorcycling."

Colour-wise, you'll be able to chose black or red.
