Tasty tribute to French Endurance team for fellow countrymen only

THE LADS AT French mag Motorevue have unearthed a special edition Yamaha YZF-R1 due for release in the next few weeks.

Dubbed the SP/R Factory Edition, the machine features YART colours a solo seat, Akrapovic titanium and carbon exhaust, as well as boasting top-spec Ohlins suspension front and rear.

Costing 19,999 euros (£16,400), the SP/R is destined for France only.

Hang on, aren't Yamaha currently offering Akrapovic exhausts for free with an R1? If so then as long as a respray and some ohlins comes in at less than £6K you're quids in!

And presumably limited to 100 bhp. My Bandit 12 (+ can) has slightly more than that!
