Could a fully-faired BMW G310R look like this?

Rendering shows what TVS's fully-faired version of BMW's naked G310R could look like

THIS is a rendering of what the TVS ‘U69’, essentially a fully faired version of the BMW G310R, could look like.

The image was created for Indian motoring site Rushlane.com. It is believed the new bike could be called the Apache RTR 310 and that it will unveiled at the Indian Auto Expo on February 3.

Although it's not the most polished rendering we’ve ever seen, the bike clearly has some styling influences from the S1000RR, including the tank and tail unit, although the front end reminds us of more of a Honda Firestorm than a modern sportsbike.

TVS hasn't commented on whether Apache RTR 310 exists, but in a market where small capacity sportsbikes like the Yamaha R3, KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 250 (or Ninja 300, new-for-2016 in India) are popular, it's understandable that it would want a slice of the action.

TVS and BMW have a technology partnership that means the G310R is being manufactured by TVS in India. Under the partnership, TVS has access to BMW’s R&D. Until last week it was assumed that TVS would use the G310R platform to create its own naked bike for the Indian market but if rumours are to be believed, it’s taken things one step further to create fully-faired small capacity sportsbike.
