Peugeot’s new Satelis 400i

Peugeot launches new 400cc Satelis maxi-scooter in the UK

PEUGEOT has today launched a new maxi-scooter in the UK – the Satelis 400i, which is available now for £4,599 on the road, with a ‘sporty’ RS version costing an additional £200.

The 400i is powered by the 400cc fuel-injected four-stroke engine from the Metropolis three-wheeler. With 37hp and 38Nm of torque, Peugeot claims it’s the most powerful 400cc scooter available.

It's got Nissin disc brakes (260mm twin discs at the front, 240mm single at the rear), pre-load-adjustable rear suspension, Michelin City Grip tyres and a 12V socket. Service intervals are 6,200 miles and it’s covered by a two-year unlimited mileage warranty.

The model, which was launched elsewhere in Europe last year, also gets updates for 2016, including a re-engineered frame, extra under-seat luggage capacity and a new car-style computerised dash.

It's the biggest-capacity Satelis in the range, which also includes 125 and 300cc models.

The RS edition also has a tinted low profile screen, black wheels, polished stainless steel silencer and sports trim seat, and is available in 'White Snow' and 'Titanium' colours. The 400i has three colour options: 'Pearly Black, Pearly White and Havana Grey.'
