THIS is Harley-Davidon's new Street 750, due to debut today at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan alongside a 500 version.

Aimed primarily at emerging markets including India, they represent the first completely new motorcycle 'platform' from Harley for 13 years, with liquid-cooled engines.

The firm says they're built for urban environments, with 'nimble agility and the sound and look that lets everyone know they are genuine Harley-Davidson'.

Matt Levatich, Harley's President and Chief Operating Officer, said: “Both the Street 750 and Street 500 were designed with thousands of hours of input from young adults in cities around the world. This input guided both the attitude and capabilities of these motorcycles. They are proof that being customer-led continues to be a core driver of our product development process.”

Would be a good start for a project bike.

I'm so excited... water cooling...disc brakes... under 300kgs and a tight turning circle too I'd bet. Perfect city bike ?

Looks like another Harley....with a orrible rad on the front?...bet it goes like a slug, and gives 25 mpg....

You,ll never find any parts as they will all be different from everything else, and the frame will rust just as the paint starts to peel off the exhaust...and then you discover its never been to the USof A....and all the other harley Riders posing about on a Sunny day will ignore you as it is not a "Proper" Harley....

Yeah cool man....

I hope that they do not do the same mistake than AMF Harley Davidson, if they do not give quality, it could be dificult for Harley in the future. Harley owners wants "CHROME". A big bet for Harley I think...

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think it looks good. I'd be happy to own one - I'm old enough now not to let other people's comment bother me, though there would be quite a few.

Its done in black as that is cheaper than chrome....it starts there...

I had something that looked like these in a Christmas cracker last year! Sort of like someone's idea of what a real bike should look like - but getting it completely wrong....
