DUCATI has revealed the latest addition to the Scrambler family – the Scrambler Café Racer at the Eicma show in Milan.
Ducati says it draws inspiration from London’s café racer culture in the 50s and 60s. To that end, it’s got a ‘Black Coffee’ colour scheme and other touches including mirrors mounted on the ends of the clip-on bars, number boards, a nose fairing and stubby mudguard.
The Scrambler Café Racer also has gold 17 inch front and rear wheels (unlike the 18 inch front and 17 inch rear found on the other bikes in the Scrambler range). It rolls on Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres.
Power comes from the 75hp, 803cc air-cooled L-twin engine from the Scrambler Icon, with black-trimmed covers, machined cooing fins and a Termignoni exhaust.
The seat has a cover for the pillion portion and in keeping with the Scrambler’s ethos of personalisation, the side panels of the teardrop aluminium tank are interchangeable.
The front upside down Kayaba fork is fully adjustable and matched with a Brembo M4-32 four-piston caliper and 330mm semi-floating disc.
