A NAKED BMW S1000RR has been spotted in testing by German magazine Motorrad.

Some might say a naked version of BMW's popular S1000RR superbike has been a long time coming. The model spied testing has a similar look to Aprilia's Tuono V4R and features wide bars, a small bikini fairing and an Akrapovic exhaust, which is likely to be an official accessory.

Expect to see it revealed at the International Motorcycle Exhibition in Cologne in October this year and in dealerships at the very end of 2012.

It still won't be half as cool as the Tuono v4. Inline 4s, no matter how powerful, just can't evoke the same visceral experience.
