New American firm Motus has finally released the first detailed studio pictures of its new MST sports tourer.
Powered by a V4 engine that's inspired by the classic Chevrolet pushrod V8 and built by race specialists Pratt & Miller, the MST manages a claimed 161bhp from its 1645cc thanks to technology including direct fuel injection. With the engine mounted longitudinally, so the cylinders stick out Guzzi-style, it's certainly unlikely to be mistaken for anything else.
While the final bike's styling doesn't quite match up with the radical-looking drawings the firm originally touted, and borrowed components like the KTM headlight are in abundance, you've still got to be impressed that a small start-up company can get this far, including developing an entirely new engine.
Motus reckons it will have two production machines – the MST and a higher-spec MST-R – in production before the end of the year, building them in the firm's home town of Birmingham, Alabama. Prices haven't been mentioned...
