THIS is the Volta BCN City and Sport - two new electric motorcycles form Spanish firm Volta.
They both use the same powerplant - a 3.1kWh lithium-polymer battery, and an elctric motor with a 33bhp (25kW) output.
Both models have a range of around 45 miles between charges and a recharge takes two hours. The cost of each recharge is around 30 pence. After 1500 charges the battery will still have 80% of its capacity, says Volta.
Volta quote a cost of around £6,000 and say they will be available in Summer 2012.
