THE Kawasaki Ninja 400 Visordown told you about back in July is set to be launched in Europe for 2018.

The bike was caught on camera by US news crews as Kawasaki filmed an advert for it in Milwaukee in July.

Now it’s expected to be revealed at the Eicma motorcycle show in Milan on November 7.

It will replacement Kawasaki’s Ninja 300, which has not been updated to comply with Euro4 emission limits.

The parallel-twin Ninja 400 is expected to be 399cc and make 44hp at 9,500rpm and 27lbft at 7,500rpm, putting it well within A2 licence territory as a competitor for the likes of Yamaha’s R3.

Now, give those of us who ride all year round and who need a modern middleweight hack a treat and put it in a naked - somewhere between the MT-03 and CB500x. Hoping this will spark a rebirth of the 350 - 500cc middleweight category that some of us miss!
