Intermot: Horex VR6 Classic 'model study'

Firm claims new bike 'just a concept'

HOREX, manufacturer of the six-cylinder circa £20k Roadster, displayed a new 'exploratory' model at Intermot.

Dubbed the Horex VR6 Classic, it was on show to gauge interest from potential buyers.

The Classic features a few subtle changes from the Roadster, including wire wheels, a different coloured seat and pin-striped bodywork.

The engine remains unchanged from the Roadster; a six cylinder, narrow-angle naturally-aspirated 1218cc V6 producing 161bhp.

Horex say that - if the bike goes into production - they may detune the engine; reducing horsepower but increasing midrange torque. The firm hopes to go into production in June 2013, although earlier this year the Horex VR6 Roadster production was delayed.
