Honda Fury to cost £500 more than VFR1200F

Test ride Honda's 2010 new models this coming weekend

HONDA UK has announced the price of the company's 2010 VT1300CX Fury chopper will be almost £500 MORE than the VFR1200F sports tourer.

Looking to take a chunk out of Harley-Davidson's UK sales, the Fury's on-the-road price has been set at £12,071, compared to £11,596 for the company's hi-tech flagship V4 1200cc machine.

This coming weekend, Honda UK are unveiling their Valentine’s ‘Start Something Special’ promotion, where potential customers can test ride Honda’s latest models for the first time - and be in with a chance to win one of six romantic weekends away in Paris - at the official launch of its  2010 motorcycle range taking place at Honda two-wheel dealerships across the country.

Would you pay over 12 grand for a basic, low-tech Honda-badged V-twin cruiser?

Honda have lost it!

The VFR is overweight, under-powered (relatively), under-fuelled and over-priced, and yet the Fury, which has the same comments but much more so, is even more expensive!

What happened to the company that produced gems like RC30, NR750, RC45, SP1/2, CBX1000, CBR600F, CBR900RR, CB1100RA/B/C/D?

If you shop around you can get a Victory Hammer S on the road for less than the price of this Honda.

I know where my money would go, and it ain't the 'onda!

At 8 grand they might sell quite well alongside the Suzuki M1800R and the Yam XV1900s, but 12 grand? they've lost it methinks.

I dunno what to make of all this. If IF Suzuki do go the CRT route, I reckon it would be a bit of a shame. But I can understand the reasons,...
