HONDA ARE testing the water with factory custom concepts.

Honda's American R&D arm has revealed three concept bikes based on the VT1300 range in an effort to show what customisers can achieve with the firm's latest cruisers.

It's not the first time the firm has done this and in the past similar efforts have led to production machines, notable the crazy Valkyrie-based Rune, which originated as one of three design studies which originally appeared as show bikes.

Here's what Honda have to say about the 2010 Honda Fury “Furious” (Hardtail Chopper)

Based on the 2010 Fury, Nick Renner (Honda R&D Americas) introduces “Furious”, a bold blend of new and old school flavor.  Pounding the street with a 23 inch wheel up front and a 20 on the rear, Furious makes no apologies.  45 degree rake and converted hard tail create a clean, pure statement that is simply chopper.  Metal flake, variegated leafing, and diamond stitched seat contrast with the five spoke crushers and Fury tank.  Long and low, clean and mean... Furious is an instant Neo-Classic.

Specs

- Front 23” wheel Rear 20”
- Exposed shaft drive
- Hard tail custom spec frame conversion (37degree head pipe with a 8 degree fork angle offset)
- Custom oversize drag bars - Custom Paint

I might buy one to hang on my wall because thats what it's best suited for. An ornament !

Ok, this one I like. A lot.

In a sea of sameold same old, its good to see something different. And different done well. Wonder how much, if it ever makes it to retail.

Might want a set of choppershox under the seat though. But Hardtails will always be cool.

It's a bit... er..  Sanitised and too sterile looking.

I would love to get my hands on the engine and running gear from one of those 13oo twins though!

Personally, this one rocks, but I don't think it's as nice as my own 2010 tricked out Fury. I don't think I'd be able to steer this thing on Pennsylvania's roads! LOL
