Honda CB1100 Europe bound in 2013

Yes please. It's refreshing to see the retro, air cooled in-line four return. A proper motorcycle where the engine is part of the overall aesthetic and not something that looks like a Siberian chemical plant. These bikes aren't just for attracting middle aged old muckers like me but also the younger dudes who enjoy looking cool. The cafe racer is very sexy and hope Honda have the foresight to import it to the UK. Remember, it's about how a bike makes you feel, not how quickly you can bin it!

I'd be very interested in buying one. I like naked retros and have a W650 at the moment. I don't think I could justify two bikes of the same ilk so alas probably won't be able to buy one... but if I didn't have my W650 then I'd definitely be interested.

Hello from united states of americaland. I'd love to have this bike. Currently I'm looking at a CB1000R trying to convince myself it's a modern CB750. But I don't want modern....styling at least.....I would much rather have a CB1100. Sorry for the lack of witty dry humor in my post.

I like this bike so much that I seriously considered getting it here (am in Japan currently) and bringing it back to Europe when I return in two years. I currently ride a CBR 600 over here, but rented the CB1100 for a weekend and enjoyed it very much.

But if they are going to sell it in Europe officially, then it's probably cheaper and much easier to just sell my bike here and get a used one after I got back to Europe.

By the way, used CB1100 from 2010 sell here starting from around 5600GBP/6000EUR.

Those 87hp figures seem a bit pathetic for an 1100cc engine with EFI, I would have expected at least 110hp with the TBs on it.
Being three years late to the game on this model I will also suspect a price tag of higher than it should be and while the bike looks decent, the rear seat and fender section seems a bit lacking in its design for a true retro look.
I cant justify selling one of my MK1 Bandit 1200s to buy this, I'm not impressed.

Absolutely! I, like others, have wanted a chance to try this bike since it was first unveiled in '09. I'm not old either - 34 - but want a 'real' looking bike, not one of those 'melted soap' looking ones like the Panigale. As for 87bhp being 'pathetic' - are you serious?! Perfectly adequate for this type of bike. Get the price right though eh, Honda? £7.5k max!

Shades of my CB750f2.All the press slate it as boring,bland etc.. but its comfortable,reliable and easy to ride.Hope the price isn't too steep.Looks a nice bike.

I like the look of the 70s bikes and early 80s bikes as well and don't misunderstand my reasoning about the weak power output figures.
Being just over 50, I was old enough to be able to see and ride them when they were new back in the day so to me the styling has to reflect all the virtues of the original bikes styling while addressing its original flaws.
This bike has got its feet in both time eras, one in the 70/80s and one in 2012 but it doesn't seem to be defining itself like it should.
The CB1300 Super four seems to be a much better option to this.

There will ALWAYS be a market in this country for a big retro in line 4. Honda began the craze for 4 cylinder across the frame bikes way way back in the late 1960's with their CB750, the very first of the BIG super bikes. OK Kawasaki trumped them when they brought out the Z1 but it matters not, Honda were the first and people will always remember that. I for one think that bike looks ace and would gladly have one in my garage if I could aford one. Nice one Honda.

The time is right to bring back this classic to California where the first proto type cb750's were tested. Come on Honda , you can make them in limited editions and sell every single one. It won't be a problem and still be a good marketing move as well. Thank You

About time, Honda. Your management sucks when you haven't seen a market in Europe for this classic looking dreambike sooner. I was raised on CB-500 Fours and CB-750 Fours in the '70s and have missed something like this for years. I hate those new designs and I don't need a touring model or a cruiser. This is what motorcycles should look like.

I think it looks great. Hopefully Honda Canada will get its act together to bring it here. I was at the Japanese Auto show about 4 years ago in Tokyo and saw three versions of this bike, this model, a really nice Cafe Racer version and a CB1100R Proto version (reminisant of the CB1100R of 1983) They all looked fantastic. I for one love the street version as the exhaust system design reminds me of my CB400F. I grew up in UK in 1970's and 1980"s and still run a CB900F today which I enjoy riding just as much as my CBR1100xx. OK it only specs 87 bhp but does that really matter... the torque will be amazing and the new CB1100F will have good suspension, modern brakes...that engine is so good looking... better than the car engine look of my CBR1100 thankfully hidden behind the tupperware clothing that most modern bikes seem to wear these days. Its a great bike.
