HERE'S new Suzuki GSX-R125, unveiled at Intermot.
Suzuki says it’s got the best power-to-weight ratio, torque-to-weight ratio and acceleration and fuel economy in the 125 class, courtesy of its 124.4cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-valve single cylinder engine.
Suzuki also says the little GSX-R has the lowest weight in its class, but hasn’t quoted a weight figure.
Braking at the front is taken care of by a two-piston sliding caliper and petal discs, with the front suspension coming in the form of conventional non-adjustable forks.
The 785mm seat eight should make it easy to get on with, as should the keyless ignition and LCD dash. The bike also gets an LED headlight.
Suzuki claims that the aerodynamic looking bodywork gives the GSX-R125 the smallest frontal area in the 125 class. Crucially for young riders looking for the first sportsbike experience, the fairing, styling and smart-looking exhaust make the GSX-R125 easily identifiable as a member of the GSX-R family.
It’ll be available in three colours – ‘Metallic Triton Blue’, ‘Solid Black 50% Gloss’ and ‘Brilliant White’.
