“New bespoke manufacturer” from TV presenter Henry Cole

ALTHOUGH it’s a mixture of a Triumph engine (from a Bonnie) with a Metisse frame and only nine will be made this is being billed as the first machine from “the first brand new bespoke British motorcycle manufacturer to come to the market since Hesketh in 1984.”

Hmmm. OK then. The man behind the Gladstone is ‘The Motorbike Show’ presenter Henry Cole, who’s great, great uncle was, apparently, William Gladstone, the four-time Liberal prime minister.

The bike is to be launched at Salon Prive on September 4-6, alongside a Gladstone bicycle and the inevitable range of branded clothing that, these days, seems to be the largest priority of ever wannabe motorcycle manufacturer.

Other information is, so far, thin on the ground.
