WE'VE SEEN IT from the front, we've seen it from behind - good God we've even had a peek of it through a hole in a wooden crate - and now here it is in all its glory: the 2011 Triumph Tiger XC.

Looking slender and positively BMW GS-style purposeful, the all-new triple cylinder 800 looks set to make quite an impact on the ever-popular adventure sports category.

The machine uses a long-stroke version of the company's triple 675 motor - comprehensive details of the new machine were leaked on Visordown early last month.

Next year looks promising for the British manufacturer; the company has just launched the all-new 2011 Speed Triple at Ascari Circuit, Spain. Visordown sent test rider Mark Forsyth to test the new 130bhp naked. Read MF's Speed Triple report.

It's very rugged looking, like it could take on the world.

Wow!

I see that Triumph has declaired war on BMW!

I hope those spoked wheels take tubeless tires, if not thats a big drawback for any serious adventure rider.

oh come on, would any "serious adventure rider" take a fuel injected Triumph into the back of beyond?

Carb = fix with 'tools in the shed'

Injection = plug into laptop to diagnose and determine which black box needs replacing. Not easy in the middle of nowhere!

Not knocking the bike, or the big trailie sector in general, they make fantastic all-rounders, but be realistic about how 99.9% of them will actually be used!
