BMW has announced a new addition to the company's touring bike range: the K 1300 GT Exclusive Edition.

The 160bhp tourer features a raft of top-notch extras to increase rider comfort and safety, which include: heated seat and bar grips, xenon headlamps, on-board computer, electronic cruise control, Electronic Suspension Adjustment II, anti-slip control function ASC, ABS and electronic tyre pressure control function RDC (Tyre Pressure Monitor).

In addition to the pannier system this special model also features a large 49-litre topcase, with common-key lock barrel and lid finished to colour match the motorcycle.

Available in Granite Grey metallic.

The Exclusive Edition is priced at £14,950 OTR.

Beautiful bike. I'd like to see availability in the U.S.  Please BMW, release it in the U.S.

It's about time BMW included a color matched top box with this bike. This color (Granite grey) is overdue also.

BMW should include a color matched top box (as an option) on all of the RT's and GT's or other models where the top box is available.

I don't understand why the top boxes are not available in the standard colors on the bikes. The one color that the box comes in doesn't match any of the bike colors.  If they can paint the bikes different colors, they should be able to match the boxes.

I've heard all of the excuses and they are all B.S.

I see so many BMW's with top boxes that are not color matched and it always detracts from the appearance of the bike. In many cases, it is down right ugly.

It's a logical argument to have colour-coordinated accessories but it creates a parts nightmare for what could be a low-volume item. However, when you pay top dollar for something, you expect that little extra.

I bought a top case for my Suzuki and had a local paint shop paint it to match. The quality was excellent and it solved the problem for me.
