There's a new Z1000 rumoured to be in the offing - could this be it?
THERE'S AN ALL-NEW version of Kawasaki's popular Z1000 rumoured to be released next year and this is what it might look like, according to the guys at French mag MotoRevue.
Sources say the new machine will have a stronger, race-style chassis for improved handling, higher quality suspension and the motor from the mighty ZX-10R superbike.
We love the Frenchie's take on the new naked. Do you?
the screen and pillion seat , about as much use as an ashtray on the handlebars !

Me likey very much. I had a Z750 up till April this year and so very nearly bought the current Z1000. If reports of the ZX10R engine r true then this will have to be considered next year!!
But i doubt it will make it in to production looking like that. Kawasaki will stick the normal steel frame in and surround it with look a like aluminium plates to make it look as if it has a prope frame. And i doubt that swing arm will make an appearance either.

If it looks like the picture then it will be far,far superior to the fazer. And whats more it won't rot like a '70's fiat strada unlike the fazer.

I like it it looks like a superduke (As mentioned above) with an RC8 rear.
If they build it like that I'll buy it

I had a Z1000 for a while and loved it (although it did my back in a bit)...problem with it was was the general build quality...it had a REALLY annoying rattle at 4k revs which I could never quite sort out, the fuel filler didn't click shut quite like it should, the wheelarch didn't quite line up with the wheel...nothing major but enough to ruin the ownership experience.

I'm still riding my 1975 Z1-B. Granted, over the years it has had its share of new parts, upgrades, and an engine overhaul, but, it's still the bike I love, 140 thousand miles later.
Why can't Kawasaki upgrade the technology, and remake the classic Z1-A,B,C looking bike?
