BMW'S zero-emission C1-E scooter will be on show at the BikeSafe on the 12 and 13th of June in Sheffield.

The bike's powered by a high-spec electric motor and lithium-ion battery and features the latest car-derived safety technology, such as a roll-over bar, a seat belt and a windscreen aimed at creating a ‘safety cell’ around the rider. The C1-E's also equipped with an impact-absorbing zone in the bike's nose cone.

At present there are no plans to put the BMW C1-E into production; the company say they will use feedback from the machine to develop further projects.
