Pulse Adrenaline 250

LLEXETER, the Devon-based company that sells Chinese bikes under the Lexmoto and Pulse brands, has taken its first step away from its traditional learner-bike segment by announcing a 250cc version of its Pulse Adrenaline supermoto-style bike.

The 125cc version of the Adrenaline has seen a level of success with sales of over 2,000 units to date, and Llexeter evidently believes there is enough demand for a larger-engined version.

At £1,999, it will be the cheapest new 250cc bike on the market, in a segment that has come alive in the last few years with entries from Honda (CBR250R, CRF250M), Suzuki (Inazuma 250), Kawasaki (Ninja 300), Hyosung (GT250, GT250R) and Daelim (VJF 250). Yamaha, Aprilia and KTM are also reported to be readying their entrants.

The first Adrenaline 250s will be available around the end of June.

That'll put the feline among the domesticated avians.

At the risk of incurring the Wrath of Ben, 250/300 road legal bikes well under the new 35kW limit seem a bit "last generation". But marketed at under £2K it suddenly gets a lot more interesting. I could see myself having cheap local laughs on one of those.

+1 Agreed!

I think you have to remember they are building a brand, once there is trust in a brand (which there is) people need a place to go and a 125cc is fine, but where to go after that and then after that.

What they have done is very clever and I can't wait (as I already said on facetube) for a 450cc Adrenaline

I love my little 125 but there is no way I can stay on it for long, I have to get on a bigger bike...release the pidgeons!!

Is a 450cc Adrenaline really on the cards?
If its similarly priced I too would be giving it commuting duties...

Some Lexmoto chap popped in to a previous thread to say that they only had immediate plans to move up to 250s.

Shame, I'd have liked to see them import and more important support those CF Moto 650s.

If the 250's are a success, I reckon in a couple of years they will think of doing bigger bikes. Hopefully by that time all the kinks will be fully ironed out and build quality will be even better. They've already got a lot better in the past five years, so things are looking up :-)

I just got an Adrenaline 125 as my first bike and think its great. Way more stylish than the CBF or YBR125 and a grand less in price as well. Hoping they bring out a 400 or 450 cc one in a couple of years as I'll be through with college then and looking to trade up.
250 has been on Qingqi's website for ages, but no sign of any 400+ yet. Will be keeping my eye on it though!!!

I have bought the 250 pulse adrenaline a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it. Of course I get get the expected criticism from the crowd who prefer a Japanese bike. All I can say is that I haven't had a problem with it so far. It puts a smile on my face every day. It's really fun to ride and I'm getting just under 70 to the gallon. Top speed about 80mph. If they brought out a larger engine version I'd expect it to be on the market far cheaper than the Japanese equivalents. Knowing what I know now from my experience with the adrenaline I'd seriously consider a larger engined version and recommend everyone giving the 250 a chance.
