2014 Honda CTX1300

A ‘new style’ touring cruiser that uses the ST1300 Pan European engine and features a sound system too.

HONDA have launched their new CTX1300 at the Milan motorcycle show.

Looking like the offspring of a DN-01 and F6B, Honda claim the CTX1300 offers the best attributes of a touring and cruiser motorcycle, rolled into one.

The CTX is powered by the 1,261cc V4 as used in the Pan European, producing 84bhp and 78lbft of torque. It features a 19.5-litre tank which the manufacturer claims gives it a 205-mile range.

The frame is an all new steel double-cradle construction, and the bike features twin rear shocks and 43mm upside down forks, twin front discs, a single rear disc and Honda’s Combined-ABS.

The CTX also features a twin-speaker stereo system with Bluetooth. The dash is analogue but with a digital LED odometer, trip meter, fuel consumption, ambient temperature and clock. The headlights, taillight and indicators are all LED too.

It’s available in three colours: Red (Candy Prominence), Black (Metallic Darkness), White (Pearl Sunbeam)
