World exclusive! No, not really.
SORRY sorry, sorry. We told you a while ago that Victory was going to launch its new Boardwalk cruiser on July 30 and then we totally forgot to actually show you the bike on that day.
So, erm, here it is. The Victory Boardwalk. It's a bit like the firm's existing High-Ball, which is a bit like the Judge, which is pretty similar to the 8-Ball. And then there's the Jackpot, which is a sort of like the other ones.
The Boardwalks USP is a different rear mudguard to the rest of the range, along with wire wheels. Inside it's got the usual 1740cc V-twin (or 'Freedom 106' to use the correct Victory terminology) and six-speed gearbox.
Don't get us wrong. Victory's approach makes absolute sense similar thinking (multiple models, many very similar, on shared underpinnings) has worked perfectly for Harley-Davidson for decades. And early first-ride reviews from America say the Boardwalk does its job well.
But if you're after innovation, technology or cutting-edge styling, this probably isn't the bike for you.

It's called "Visor Down" not "Tassels R Us". Isn't there a costume (sic) bike site that caters for your needs mate?

Personally I prefer an upright position and crotchless panties (on my head) but that is irrelevant.
If you think putting high bars on a bike constitutes 'radical' then maybe you need to find a site that caters for your (lets face it) niche fetishes.
If Harley or Victory or any manufacturer comes up with a 'custom' style machine that represents anything like news I am sure VD will treat it with the seriousness it deserves. Until then I hope they continue to focus on real development.
