Yamaha’s 2018 Enduro World Championship line-up announced

FOLLOWING a successful 2017 season, Yamaha has announced its 2018 World Championship line-up.

Joining the Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team of Loïc Larrieu and Jamie McCanney is Albin Elowson, who last year rode for the Johansson Yamaha Official Junior Enduro Team.

The trio will compete in three separate classes of the 2018 FIM Enduro World Championship, with McCanney taking on the Enduro 1 class and Larrieu the Enduro 2. Last year both secured runner-up spots in their respective classes and are now looking to go one better.

2016 Enduro Junior World Championship runner-up Elowson, meanwhile, will fight for the title of the under-23 Junior class aboard Yamaha’s WR250F.

With manager Marc Bourgeois continuing his tenure, the Yamaha riders will also be aiming for winning results in the updated EnduroGP overall classification.

The FIM 2018 Enduro World Championship begins on the 17th March at the GP of Finland, with the Enduro Junior class riders joining at the second round in Spain in April.

Over the eight rounds, riders will be faced with varied terrain and conditions, from the chill of Finland to the baking heat of Italy’s Arco di Trento in June.
