Infinity re-open Norwich Hein Gericke

New era for former HG store

INFINITY Motorcycles have completed on the lease of a former Hein Gericke store in Norwich.

While the administrators for Hein Gericke have issued a press release stating a new buyer has been found, the buyer has yet to be named and it is rumoured that they will be closing some of the 49 Hein Gericke stores.

However, Farnborough-based Infinity have taken on the lease and all three former Hein Gericke staff and two part-time staff in Norwich.

The shop will re-open in the next few days and becomes the chain's eighth store.

I wish them luck. If they provide customer service like the guys at Infinity Southampton they will hopefully do well.

I Hope they do well, I guess it depends on whether we the consumer realise that it costs a lot of money to operate, run and staff a high street store and so going in there, trying on the gear and then going home and buying online to save a tenner ultimately doesn't pay the bills and results in these places failing?

Fantastic news for Norwich and even better for the guys that work there. Whenever I went in they were always helpful . I even went there when the close down sale was on . I felt a bit bad as it seemed a bit like vultures picking over the carcass but even then the staff kept a smile on their faces. Well done to infinity for coming in to keep it open and congrats to the staff for keeping the place running.
