It's a shame, but several things happened over the last few years which i am sure lead to this - Arai's went up astronomically and Phoenix couldn't control the pricing structure in the UK so dealers would discount heavily. Dealers want to make money so they started selling Shoei helmets instead.
George White hitting the wall had a knock on affect too i am sure... and above all John Wakefield the company director was f***ing useless and completely full of himself, but rest assured... i bet he's still got his cushy job at Carvallio selling floor tiles.
I feel sorry for the staff at Phoenix distribution because they are a good bunch of people, but i guarantee that Arai will start to sell direct from Europe or Oxford will get their shitty claws on the brand. What ever happens Arai is going to lose it's market share in the UK massively because Oxford will destroy the brand - just like they destroy all the brands they distribute.
