 Yamaha YZF-R1M

YAMAHA will soon be taking online orders for the next batch of YZF-R1Ms.

The application process opens in 13 days - on Tuesday October 11. If you’re interested in getting your hands on Yamaha’s flagship sportsbike, you need to go to the Yamaha R1M application site and complete the reservation form.

Yamaha says its selection process is designed to ensure that the limited number of 2017 R1Ms are made available to experienced riders, privateer racers and individual race teams.

The bikes will be available in March next year with new graphics and an additional colour – ‘Tech Black’. There’s no word on price yet though.

As before, anyone who buys an R1M will be invited to take part in the Yamaha Racing Experience – a series two-day track events at various European circuit, taking place in summer 2017. The YRE events include machine setup workshops, and briefing designed to help riders get the most out of their R1M.

I best not mention about the topbox fittings i'd be looking for, else they'll reject me from the serious list

Not if you tell them you need the top boxes to carry all your talent to the track

Will that punt me from the list?
