HAVE you ever ridden a Ducati? Soon a lot more people will be able to answer ‘yes’ to that question when the motorcycle marque opens its own rollercoaster.
The ‘new generation rollercoaster’ is set to be part of Ducati-themed area at Mirabilandia, Italy’s second biggest theme park, under a deal announced this week.
Mirabilandia is located in the Emilia-Romagna region, near Ravenna, an area known as Motor Valley thanks to a concentration of automotive museums dedicated to the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini.
Called Ducati World, the new attraction will feature simulators and virtual reality as well as the rollercoaster, which the Italian bike maker promises will ‘turn each visitor into a Ducati rider’.
The 35,000-square-metre Ducati World is expected to open to the public in 2019.
Alessandro Cicognani, Ducati Licensing and Corporate Partnership Director, said: “Ducati World will give visitors a chance to live an exciting journey inside the Ducati brand.
“We’re developing the first motorcycle themed area in an Italian amusement park. Mirabilandia’s location, at the heart of the Motor Valley, adds further value to this project dedicated to fun.”
