A VICAR is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the fastest motorcycle hearse at Elvington, today.

The Reverend Ray Biddis will ride his Triumph Rocket III with a 2.3 litre, three-cylinder engine and a glass coffin carrier, he is aiming to raise the record to 100mph.

“As a biker for over 40 years I wouldn’t be seen dead in a car for my final journey. Many bikers agree that a motorcycle hearse is the only way to travel."
said Mr Biddis

We wish him the best of luck and hope someone else doesn't have to take him to his own funeral in what's left of his hearse.

The Rocket has been beaten. The Rocket did 114 over two miles, but the Hayabusa Hearse beat that in just one mile! The new Fastest Motorcycle Hearse world record is held by the Suzuki Hayabusa hearse: http://youtu.be/S-MRwKvdQqQ
