MULTI-MILLIONAIRE ginger-type Clive Sinclair has revealed plans for a new enclosed electric-assisted bicycle.

The daddy of the infamous 1980s Sinclair C5, has unveiled pictures of his latest thinking, dubbed the Sinclair X-1.

The machine combines pedal power and an electric motor, wrapped up in a cosy plastic casing with integral roll cage.

Another flop in the waiting?

If it's really cheap it might catch on as an alternative to a regular bike, I suppose. Some people might like the weather protection. But the steering-column needs a bit of work - currently it screams 1960s invalid carriage.

would anyone seriously be seen dead in this monstrosity?!? it looks like a slimmed down BMW C1....atleast on a C1 you could wear a full face helmet so nobody knows who you are!

Looks to me like there's a big hole in the floor pan, which also doesn't do much to keep your bum dry in the wet!
