Robbie Knievel arrested for drink-driving

Stunt legend reported to be three times the legal limit when stopped in Sturgis

ROBBIE Knievel – son of Evel – has been arrested in Sturgis, South Dakota, for drink driving after his RV hit and damaged two other parked RVs at the famous bike rally.

The 51-year-old, who still follows in his father’s footsteps, making a living jumping bikes, was reportedly arrested and later released having had his licence suspended for 30 days and being ordered to pay a $600 fine.

Website www.tmz.com carried out a bizarre phone interview with Knievel (or at least someone purporting to be Knievel) in which he seemed defiant over the whole event, eventually saying: “My dad always said ‘Wear helmets and don’t do drugs’. You know what I say? ‘Do drugs and don’t wear helmets.’”
