A CRASH in New Zealand resulted in a motorcycle left hanging in a tree.

The accident saw the Buell catapulted from a ditch and fly across a driveway before coming to rest in the branches of a tree.

Both police and ambulance arrived at the scene and emergency services confirmed that the rider was immediately taken to hospital in serious condition.

The factors of whether speed or rider inattention were a result of the crash are yet to be determined.

The Buell was cut of the tree by a road contractor who was nearby when the accident took place.

I remember seeing a motorcycle and sidecar stuck in a tree at the Bol D'or many years ago. It had gone off the edge of a cliff on a sharp bend and luckily for the order it got stuck in a huge pine tree at the same height as the road.
