Mark Aitchison and Matthieu Lagrive to ride Honda's CBR600RR in next year's world series
HANNSPREE Althea Honda has announced its World Supersport line-up for 2009 with former Triumph rider Mark Aitchison and French star Matthieu Lagrive.
Aussie Aitchison, 25, had his 2008 WSS season stunted by an injury to his right knee, but says he is back to full form for the coming campaign. He said: "I am really happy because Honda and Hannspree Althea both believe in me and have given me this wonderful chance. To join one of the top teams in the World Supersport paddock, and have the opportunity to challenge for a world title with Honda, is very exciting."
28-year-old Lagrive added: "I'm very excited about joining my new Honda team in World Supersport. The Hannspree Honda Althea squad is one of the top teams in the championship and I'm looking forward to the challenge, and to work with Honda to produce a winning team."
