TOMMY HILL has been out in action for the first time on the Althea Honda as part of a two day test in Cartagena, Spain.
After two days on the bike, the battling Brit, who was plagued with two severe breaks to his left leg in two separate crashes (neither of which where his fault) in 2008 said he was happy with his progress in the run-up to the 2009 season.
He said: "I'm very happy because I thoroughly enjoy riding in Superbike and being able to ride in such a potent category. On the second day I rode 130 laps, which is a great result for me. The bike is consistent and I can ride it as I like. We are leaving Cartagena feeling quite optimistic. We had to work hard for two days to find the best electronics solution and making significant gains in terms of the machine's overall performance. I want to thank all my team and also Ohlins technicians for their great job".
The next test sessions for the team are scheduled for the Autodromo do Algarve in Portimao, Portugal in January 2009 from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th.
