WSB: Terrific Toseland grabs pole

Biaggi sinks to sixth in Superpole

Toseland...pole position for Sunday's final rounds


CHAMPIONSHIP FAVOURITE, James Toseland, claimed pole position at Magny-Cours today in a stunning display of aggressive riding.

The Yorkshireman clocked a 1:38.501 lap, with Germany's Max Neukirchner taking second spot on the grid, a mere 0.023 seconds slower than Toseland.

Yamaha-mounted Troy Corser and Noriyuki Haga, took the remaining slots on the front row.

Toseland's nearest rival, Max Biaggi, could only manage sixth spot on the grid ahead of Sunday's races.
