Makoto to ride Paul Bird ZX-10R after massive Qatar crash
The former Japanese Champion, long-time GP campaigner and three-time WSB race winner launched himself off his ZX-10R in the build up for the last round. He was given immediate medical attention after the fall and was scanned the following day amid fears that he had broken his pelvis in the crunching fall.
Thankfully, it was discovered that Tamada was 'only' badly bruised, and had broken a big toe. He has now confirmed that he will be fit enough to muscle the big green bike around the twisty Spanish track in just over a week's time.
