THERE ARE worries about
Regis Laconi's left leg following the operation to repair his fractured spine after a horrific highside in South Africa three weeks ago.
After passing initial tests after the crash Laconi underwent an operation to fix a plate in his neck to stabilise the fractured vertebrae (C3 and C5).
Reportedly, the lengthy and difficult operation performed by Dr Maurizio Zorio was deemed a success but recently it has emerged that the Frenchman may now face complications with his left leg.
According to Laconi's lawyer Paul-Louis Coulignon, there is some paralysis in Laconi's left leg.
Coulignon said that it is too early yet to say whether the loss of feeling is permanent or temporary. Laconi is due to fly back to Paris anytime now to continue his recovery.
