WSB: Rossi v Bayliss - it's on!
Spanish mag Solomoto says a Rossi - Bayliss World Superbikes clash is going ahead!
WE'VE HEARD many reports flying around this morning that Valentino Rossi has agreed to a one-off appearance in next year's WSB series - and he's going to take on Troy Bayliss!
According to our friends at Spanish mag Solomoto, the duel is set to take place during the second round of next year's championship at Losail circuit, Qatar, on March 14th. Rossi is set to ride a factory WSB-spec YZF-R1.
Imagine that! Rossi going elbow-to-elbow with the WSB boys, along with Bayliss, who's making a special one-off appearance. It's the stuff that dreams are made of.

Bayliss whooped the whole moto gp line up at valencia in 2006 on his first go on a gp bike, but rossi crashed out in the early laps so it will be very interesting to see how this pans out. Who is better? bayliss on a gp bike or rossi on the SBK r1.

I think you'll find bayliss won once after 3 years of getting his assed kicked by lots of people so that makes it about 45-1 to rossi

I am a big fan of Rossi he would be brilliant on an R1. Rossi and Bayliss raced together in the final round of Moto GP at Valencia 2006. Bayliss has nothing to prove because he won that race.

So he can only ride a bike that someone else has developed for him then. Isn't one of the skills of a top rider in being able to help develop a bike
