TEXAN ACE Ben Spies secured his eighth win in this year's World Superbike Championship after drying conditions forced the first-ever machine changeover in the history of the WSB series.

Britain's Shane Byrne put in his best performance of the season by taking an impressive second place, with Michel Fabrizio bagging the final spot on the podium.
