WSB: Laconi set for retirement

Visordown's mole network springs up the news that Regis is seriously considering calling it a day

INJURED FRENCHMAN Regis Laconi is seriously considering retiring from racing, following his massive crash earlier this year.

Visordown’s mole has been chatting with a couple of other moles French-side and hears that although his recovery from a broken neck in South Africa has been nothing short of miraculous, the ageing superbiker is apparently having a bit of a re-think about his career and is erring on the side of calling it a day.

We’d like to think that this one is right; Regis is a loveable racing nutter (in the most loving sense of the word) who is perfect material to see out his years as a TV pundit.

Go on Regis, let the rest of the world hear your crazy racing talk!

What a great story. I can see all the Lorenzo fans flocking to read this now, oh hang on, didn't anyone stop caring about him since before he left GPs. Sports scoop of the year Visordown.

Good on him, he is also so fit so he would love to sit back and down a  few ales and a bag of chips I reckon.

I have always been a Laconi fan so will be sad to see him go.

I dunno what to make of all this. If IF Suzuki do go the CRT route, I reckon it would be a bit of a shame. But I can understand the reasons,...
