JAMES Toseland won the first race of Sunday's World Superbike round at Brno in the Czech Republic.

Britain's Toseland dealt with immense pressure from Biaggi, Kagayama and Haga, to win by just over 0.2 seconds.

Biaggi's pace was stunning, but Toseland's superior race craft saw him keep the ex-GP rider at bay.

Robbie Rolfo took fifth place, squeezing out Fabrizio with two laps remaining.

Troy Bayliss, twice a WSB champion, crashed after 12 laps and former champ Troy Corser could only manage seventh.
