AZHAR HUSSAIN, the man behind the TTXGP, is taking his zero-emission motorcycle race to the United States.

Hussain, who organised the world's first electric motorcycle road race at this year's Isle of Man TT, will take his battery-powered roadshow to Infineon Raceway May 14 to 16 2010 during the AMA Motorcycle Sonoma Showdown weekend.

“Competition improves the breed, so we hope this new U.S. championship will come to be seen as a milestone event in bringing new transportation technology to the world beyond motorcycling,” Hussain said. “We invite the best and the brightest in the world to join us at Infineon Raceway for the dawning of the next generation of motorsports in the United States.”

Earlier this week, Hussain unveiled the TTX02 - the latest incarnation of the inventor's battery powered racer.
