TT practice week kicked off yesterday as John McGuinness topped the shortened rain-hit Monday evening session for the Superbike, Supersport and Superstock classes.

McGuiness, sporting the number one plate on his TT Legends Honda, was the quickest with a 122.838mph lap ahead of teammate Keith Amor who clocked a 122.637 lap.

The TT Legends pair logged the fastest times on the second lap and lead the timings ahead of Gary Johnson and Guy Martin, who both completed the fastest laps in the opening circulation of the TT course. Honda-mounted Johnson hitting 122.463 and 121.380 for the Relentless Suzuki of Martin.

The Supersport 600s were lead by the Portugeuse entrant, Luis Carreira with 117.612 on a Yamaha R6. Padgetts Honda's Bruce Anstey lapped the Island course at 122.752 to finish at the top of the Superstock timesheet.

Weather conditions halted the evening's session to only two laps. Today holds more promise with sun forecasted for the Isle of Man, as more riders join with Michael Rutter, Hudson Kennaugh and James Hillier in attendance after missing the opening day for BSB round at Thruxton.
