R.I.P Steve.Watched you race many times while i was marshalling.Condolences to all family and friends.Hope Rick recovers quickly from his injuries.Racing has lost another one of its greatest stars.

Still can't believe the news, absolutely gutted.  He was one of the nicest, genuine blokes you could ever meet.  One of lifes good guys.  You will be missed mate.

I knew Steve from school and haven't seen him for quite a few years, but was deeply saddened when I heard the news today. What a sad loss of a really great human being. He always had a smile on his face.

We have lost a part of us that nothing and no-one can replace.Steve was my nephew,and racing sidecars was in his blood,his first attendance at a meeting was  when he was around two years of age when his dad and i first started racing, even then he used to polish the outfit. words fail me but i know he enjoyed every moment of his racing career, we may not have been at his meetings with him but we supported from afar. so proud of you. We will always and forever miss you.

A massive loss & my sincerest condolences go to his family.
I knew Steve throughout our school days and we sat next to each other during Park Middle.
A talented pupil in all subjects at school, especially in art, rugby & running.
Always had a smile on his face and a real joker that could leave you in stitches.

A FANTASTIC MAN AND SPORTSMAN.I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO SEEING STEV IN THE PADDOCK,HE ALWAYS HAD TIME FOR OTHERS WHATEVER HE WAS DOING...GREAT MEN ARE NEVER FORGOTEN...he will forever be in my thoughts.

I Have been a sidecar fan for 30 years. i have competed off road events during the seventies and eighties. i have followed road and track racing always.

In 2007 i was fortunate enough to have a ride on Steves sidecar at the "day of champions" at donnington. as with all sidecar people it was like one big family, and he and his wife were happy to give me one of his race suits to use for the ride.

He had the most vibrant personality that was immediate and could tell striaght off he was a liked man...

 I am so sorry he has gone.. but hey he'll still be racing somewhere.
