East Mids circuit in the doldrums after losing bike and car British GPs
OFFICIALS FROM Silverstone circuit are expected to announce the British F1 GP will remain at the Northamptonshire circuit following a £300million rescue package. The deal, expected to be announced later today, will see Silverstone host the four-wheel event for the next 17 years, following Donington Park's failure to secure the Grand Prix. The East Midlands circuit was due to take on the world class, four-wheel event but have since lost the rights after failing to meet financial deadlines set by F1 authorities. Construction work on a new-look circuit ground to a halt last month after Donington Park promoters, Donington Ventures Limited, ran into financial difficulties. The circuit now faces a bleak future having also lost the rights to host the British round of the MotoGP Championship to Silverstone.

Perhaps they will put it back with the, when wet, Ye' Olde oily track surface, or the midden feature toilet's, or perhaps the mechanically recovered, erm, 'meat' they call catering?
The Dunlop bridge served a purpose & I miss it, but the best track has won....Moto June ticket - BOOKED!
