MICHAEL SCHUMACHER is to race in the 8 Hour racer at Oschersleben next month.

The F1 God, who has just signed off the next generation Ferrari supercar that he has helped develop, was keen to point out that this is not the start of a new career (as he has to every time he swings a leg over a bike, these days), but said: "I just love riding and racing bikes and I take great pleasure from it."

The race, part of the World Endurance Series, is being held on August 9th at the German track.
