Visordown Motorcycle News Schumacher prepares to launch his Blade in an earlier race
FORMER Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher followed up the third-place on his motorcycle race debut in Hungary last week with first place in Barcelona - riding a Triumph Daytona 675.

Schumacher won the 14-lap race in Spain last weekend, fuelling rumours that he's preparing to compete at a higher level - possibly on a factory-prepared bike next season.

2007 MotoGP world champion Australian Casey Stoner was impressed with the former multiple-F1 champion's testing times when Schumacher rode Stoner's 800cc Ducati Desmosedici GP7 last November.

yip. he obliterated the opposition in f1, made lots of money - and now he's trying his hand at the purest, most dangerous form of motorsport.

the guy is obviously not doing it for the money (or the promise of) - this proves he's an out and out racer at heart. how cool is that?

couldn't agree more coronajones, just loves the sport. why else would you put yourself in such a dangerous position around guys that are still climbing the way up trying desperately to get noticed.

just such a shame he didn't get into bikes before the car thing. would of given casey something to think about.

Can't help but admire the guy...just shows he is a pure competitor at heart.

Just one thing though...where the f*ck did he get those awful leathers?! With his money he could at least get a pair to match his bike!

Which bike, he has a collection of sports bikes that any petrol head would be proud to own.

his rivals had better watch out if they try to overtake him as he has a habbit of knocking people off track.
Posted: 29/03/2008 21:56

he was riding a TRIUMPH too! That a bit like a lufftwaffe pilot in a spitfire...but....respect to the man. He's a racer through and through. No technology to hide behind here, talent shows through.
