MOTOGP WORLD Champion Valentino Rossi will test a Ferrari Formula One car by the end of this month, it has been revealed. The eight times world champ will take part in a private test with the superfast red cars in Mugello.

He will drive the F2008 car, the car used by regular drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen in the GP races this year.

The test will take place next Thursday and Friday (November 20th-21st), less than a week before Rossi returns to the more familiar world of two wheels for the MotoGP Official Test in Jerez.

Rossi has already driven the car twice, sparking rumours that an eventual switch from to four wheels was on the cards, although the eight-time motorcycling world champ says he's too old to consider a serious switch to F1. He has driven the car at the Mugello and during an Official Formula One test appearance at Valencia.

In Spain he was just over half a second slower than former Ferrari number one Michael Schumacher.
