Rea tops Suzuka 8hr free practice
Ten Kate rider quickest at the end of Thursday practice sessions with a 2:08 lap
WORLD SUPERBIKE front-runner Jonathan Rea dominated the first free practice session for the Suzuka 8hr endurance race, lapping almost two seconds faster than anyone else.
Swapping the white and green Ten Kate Honda for the deep blue and white TSR Honda Rea managed a fastest lap of 2:08, the only rider to make it within the eight second barrier.
Rea will be joined by Kousuke Akiyoshi, who was last seen standing in for the injured Hiro Aoyama for the Interwetten team. Other notable Honda entrants including Ryuichi Kiyonari riding for the HARC-PRO team.

Honda will be eager to return to Suzuka glory at the end of the eight hour endurance race having lost to Yoshimura Suzuki last year at their home circuit.
